I have wagered on countless of hands of twenty-one. I started working my way into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have played online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. With all that said I have still spent a lot of cash at twenty-one. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the casino.
I still enjoy the game and bet on a frequent basis. Over the years I have played a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You most certainly will not get rich with this method or defeat the house, however you will have an abundance of fun. This method is centered on the fact that blackjack seems to be a game of runs. When you are hot your hot, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I bet with basic strategy 21. When I don’t win I bet the table minimum on the successive hand. If I lose again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Once I win I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the action back down to the original sum.
I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets very enjoyable sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in series your bets go up very quickly. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome streaks a number of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Luxor a couple of years back with $750 after 20 mins using this technique! And a couple of weeks ago in Atlantic City I left a table with $1200!
You must understand that you can give away much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be aghast at the streaks you witness playing this way. Below is a guide of what you would bet if you kept winning at a five dollar game.
Bet $5
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 5 dollar bet
Bet 5 dollar
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total wager of $10
Wager ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the first $10 wager
Wager ten dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total bet of 20 dollar
Wager twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial twenty dollar wager
Bet $20
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Bet forty dollar
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $40 bet
Wager forty dollar
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $80
Bet 80 dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the original 80 dollar wager
Wager $80
Leave eighty dollar paid to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager $160
Take $160 paid to you, leave the original $160 wager
If you departed at this point you would be up 3 hundred and fifteen dollars !!
It is herculean to go on a run this long, but it will happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and drop your bet or the final result won’t be the same.
