I have wagered on millions of hands of chemin de fer. I started sneaking into the gambling halls when I was sixteen. I have wagered on online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a little while. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of money at vingt-et-un. The gambling halls have made it almost impossible to beat the game.

I still like the game and bet on a frequent basis. Over the years I have played a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this method or defeat the house, nonetheless you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is founded on the idea that 21 appears to be a game of runs. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!

I bet with basic strategy twenty-one. When I do not win I wager the table minimum on the successive hand. If I lose again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the wager back down to the original amount.

I am very disciplined and do not back out. It gets extremely fun sometimes. If you win a few hands in series your bets go up very fast. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had great runs a few times now. I departed a $5 table at the Venetian a couple of years back with $750 after 60 minutes using this technique! And a couple of months ago in Las Vegas I left a table with $1200!

You have to understand that you can give up a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be aghast at the streaks you notice playing this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you continue winning at a 5 dollar game.

Wager $5
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the first $5 wager

Bet $5
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total bet of $10

Wager ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 10 dollar wager

Wager 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $20

Bet $20
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the initial $20 bet

Wager 20 dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 40 dollar

Wager $40
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $40 bet

Wager 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 80 dollar

Bet 80 dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the first $80 bet

Bet eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $160

Bet 160 dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the first one hundred and 60 dollar bet

If you left at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!

It’s difficult to go on a streak this long, but it often happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and drop your wager or the end result will not be the same.
